The format is 15 mins. of current classes and/or workshops offered in the area of learning brain research. 30 minute interviews with teachers, neurologists, and other professionals who are on the cutting age of a more effective learning brain. 15 minutes wrap-up of show.
Dr. David Sortino holds Master’s Degree in Child Development from Harvard University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University as well as multiple subject and learning handicapped teaching credentials. He has spent 35 years as a teacher, counselor, director and resource specialist in public and private schools, as well as training teachers at the university level. He has served as consultant to state and county programs for at-risk and special needs children, and works directly with individuals and families. In his private practice, he consults and collaborates with students, parents, teachers, and psychologists to provide support for students pre-K through college in establishing school success and achievement motivation. He has found that exploring cognition, learning styles, multiple intelligences and vocational development, as well as other coaching, strategies helps students to create greater learning and intelligence.
