A veteran of the underground indie pop music scene since 1986, host Ray Carmen has played drums with Witch Hazel (on their 1995 Flydaddy Records debut Landlocked), and with NE Ohio goofball rockabilly legends The King Dapper Combo. Ray is currently lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist for Big Stir recording artists Librarians With Hickeys, whose 2020 cd debut Long Overdue received universal critical acclaim, was aired on Radio Caroline and Little Steven’s Underground Garage, and made several end of year best-of lists. Getting virtually no sleep, he is also currently drummer with The Chants, and is one half of alt-folk/jazz duo Weeping Barista…when he’s not recording oddball experimental music under the name The Ghost Lilies. Whew!
