The Kitchen Sink isn’t a show; it’s an excavation. An elegant rummage through the dustbin of vinyl past, lovingly handled by a guy who makes nostalgia sound like a revolution, and has the culinary trauma to prove it. One of the last romantic DJs, Jean-Philippe, JP (yes, you may) equal parts flâneur, Londoner, and lapsed punk with a taste for torch songs and conversation. With regular guests, the tête-à-tête has no boundaries: like a good bouillabaisse: brooding, aromatic, and occasionally containing something still twitching. A bilingual raconteur with a palate for both the poetic and the putrid, he pilots his show like he once handled grinds in a forgotten London skate bowl and with the swagger of someone who’s spent his life learning to lean into the skid.

All instinct and improvisation, a symphony of scraped knees and glorious defiance. His musical tastes are the product of a childhood caught between the thin gravy of English restraint and the pinot-stained seduction of a French father whose idea of contraband was a found street sign claiming “Route du Beaujolais” smuggled under the back seat of his Peugeot.
