Apocalyptic Supperclub

Even Thursdays at 8am

This is for you.

The forces driving the present political tsunami understand psychology. They understand that chaos, rapid change, and overwhelming information streams destabilize minds and dysregulate nervous systems. Unstable people are easy to manipulate. Pathological minds understand this truth and use it to turn people against themselves and each other. Those who want power above all are using this strategy to achieve domination and control at every level of society. It is a dark moment, but there is much we can do if we understand psychology, too, and harness it to not only protect ourselves, but to unleash the latent capacities that only huge challenges call forth. Our fundamental bulwark against the traumatizing forces of chaos and betrayal is the principle of nourishment. What feeds the mind, heart and soul is what makes us resilient, competent, and powerful. It is not necessarily easy, but it is beautiful.

This platform is dedicated to naming the darkness, but then quickly pivoting towards the multitude of ways we can resource ourselves and each other to nourish our capacity to become beings capable of not only holding the line, but also boldly leading the way to a future we know is both needed and possible.

Meet The Host

Host Name: Christine Barrington
Host Contact: Not available

Host Info: Hi, I’m Christine. I am an ordinary person, just like you. My mother was born in the midst of WWII in the heart of Hitler’s fascist capital of Berlin, and that foundational experience colored our family life. She trained me to understand history and the urgent necessity for humanitarian policies that protect all life. I have feared a resurgence of the forces that led to the unspeakable calamity of world war all my life. Now that those fears are being realized, I seek to be like those people who helped guide the world out of that crisis. Most of those heroes were just ordinary people doing what they can. Like them, I am one of the many. So what do I bring to the table? I have a master’s degree in psychology, and I’ve worked within our education and carceral system counseling inmates, juvenile gang members, as well as the general public. With additional certifications in trauma resolution and transformational breathwork, I have witnessed breathtaking personal transformations. Watching the gathering political storm developing over the past decades, I determined to leverage my psychological experience to advocate for definitive societal transformation. I have the training of a psychotherapist, the heart of an activist and the soul of a visionary. Being visionary isn’t as lofty as it sounds, it simply means I am constantly inspired by the spirit of possibility, and I seek to share that spirit with anyone who will listen by telling quality stories. I hope I can inspire you to know just how extraordinary an ordinary human being can be when it counts.
